Box Method Algebra 1. Draw a 2 by 2 grid. The box method is a visual way to multiply the various terms, and keep things organized.
The box method uses a big box with four little boxes in it to help with the factoring of quadratic polynomials. Ensure a ‘+’ leading coefficient. Middle term is ‘+’ and last term is ‘+’.
